CAMP PHILLY IS AN EXPLORATION OF MATERIALITIES AND MATERIALIZATIONS OF C A M P – IN THE WORK OF THREE PHILADELPHIA-BASED ARTISTS.
CAMP IS UNAPOLOGETICALLY SUPERFICIAL, KITSCHY, AND IN POOR TASTE. PARTY BEADS, COSTUME JEWELRY, DECORATIVE SEA SHELLS, PLASTIC DUCKS, AND SYNTHETIC FIBER HAIR EXTENSIONS ARE A HANDFUL OF MANY MATERIALS USED TO CREATE SCULPTURE, VIDEO, AND INSTALLATION IN CAMP PHILLY.
THE SELECTION OF WORKS BY DZIOBA, HILL, AND LE SOURD ARE WACKY AND HIGHLY REFRESHING.

KELLY DZIOBA is a Philadelphia-based artist whose work has been exhibited in the US and internationally at High Tide, Allens Lane Art Center, and the Ice Box Project Space(Philadelphia, PA),the New Bedford Art Museum (New Bedford, MA), and the Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum (Seoul, South Korea). She is the recipient of the William Daley Fellowship and the Peters Valley School of Craft Artist Fellowship. She holds a BFA from the University of the Arts.
ZACH HILL is an artist and organizer based in Philadelphia. He has exhibited and screened work at Haggerty Museum of Art (Milwaukee, WI), Western Exhibitions (Chicago, IL), High Tide (Philadelphia, PA), and Frontera Garibaldi(Mexico City) among other institutions and artist-run spaces. He has been awarded a Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship, a Mary L. Nohl Fellowship for Individual Artists, and a Vermont Studio Center Fellowship. Hill is a member of Vox Populi Gallery. He received an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BFA from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
NATASHA LE SOURD lives and works in Philadelphia. She has exhibited extensively in group shows in New York, and received the Women Cinemamakers as Independent Filmmaker Award for her piece “Eve Running” in 2018, which was also screened at the Crane Arts Video Festival (2018). Le Sourd holds a BFA from Parsons, The New School for Design.
