BOOK LAUNCH & EXHIBITION & ARTWORK SALE & PARTY!

July 10, 6-9pm

Open Saturdays and by appointment

A party that's been a decade in the making.

Ten years ago, AUTOMAT’s founders joined other kindred collectives in Philadelphia to imagine an alternative to the elitism of the commercial gallery scene. Ten years later, we are calling on our community to celebrate this accomplishment with us and to support us into the future.

On July 10th from 6-9pm we are hosting a celebration that is free and open to the public that will include:

  • Book Launch highlighting the importance of artist-led spaces and documenting our exhibitions.

  • Artwork Sale by artists we admire: Alex Griffin, Anthony Bowers, Claire Downes  Whitehurst, Emily Elliot, Jacob Lunderby, Jo Nakayama-Painter, Kate  McCammon, Kate Testa, Kim Altomare, Kimi Pryor, Lauren Whearty, Libby  Rosa, Lou Serna, Mari Elaine Lamp, Mark Citerone, Matthew Ducmanus,  Meghan Cox, Morgan Hobbs, Nasir Young, Philippa Beardsley, Sophie White,  Travis Grant, Whitson Ramsey, Zachary Dale Simonson, and Zoe Cohen.

  • Exhibition highlighting the crucial work that often goes unseen.

  • Limited Edition Merch to support our artist-run programming.

  • Party with specialty beverages and cake!

PROOF OF CONCEPT: 10 Years of AUTOMAT reflects on our structure and history and proves that artist-led alternatives  are possible. Support us, connect with our members, and hang out with the larger artist-run community in Philadelphia at this party that has been a decade in the making.
